This is similar to the virtue magnificence (megaloprepeia) found in the preceding chapter (NE IV. 2), which is concerned with large - scale generosity.

Virtue 3- Courage

Courage is loyalties assistant. Loyalty is persistant through trial. Courage is resistant through fear.

Courage goes hand to hand with loyalty but yet you will find that they never combat fear nor trial.

To be courageous is simply to be without fear.

This is why you must dictate your vision.

So then you can orientate your outlook to be directed to the courageous.

Fear and Trial is not a worthy enemy of these things.

The origin of fear and trial being selfishness.

It takes selflessness to have courage and definitely loyalty.

You must also have trust whilst having courage in the face of terror.

All these virtues compound they support one another, they’re interconnected.

Without trust their is no loyalty and without loyalty their is no courage.

[Courage] and Loyalty is a challenging thing to achieve therefore it is valued.

Anything with value takes effort to achieve.

Valuable things do not come without challenge.

Courage is looked at as something silly, to many people nowadays courage is irrelevant.

Because suffering and challenge is irrelevant.

We need more challenge and we need the right kind of challenge.

Cowardice is the antagonist.

Courage is simply the ability to handle pressure.

The level of pressure you handle correlates with the level of courage you have.

Your own ethics directly decide the level of courage you have.

Ethics is the study of morals.

The courageous; they last longer and always win.

The good guy is always outnumbered…

The Spartans were courageous.
